The third congress which took place in December 2005 at Fribourg University was hosted and organized by the Institut Interdisciplinaire d’Ethique et des Droits de l’Homme / Chaire UNESCO and organized by the Coordination office of UNITWIN/UNESCO Chairs at Fribourg University. The theme of the congress Methodology in intercultural and inter-religious dialogue with reference to the cultural rights was a new opportunity to discuss the problem of methodology in intercultural dialogue and understanding. It was especially proposed that beyond the problem of fundamental prohibitions, the meaning of hospitality could be a further focus in that discussion. It became clear that some of the Chairs would agree to cooperate for the study of intercultural methodology.
