In 2005 the third Congress of the Chairs was held in Fribourg (Switzerland). This Congress was partially opened to other participants. The "Institut Interdisciplinaire d'Ethique et des Droits de l'Homme/Chaire UNESCO" of this University was the main co-organizer. The work was concentrated on the search for adequate methodologies for actual intercultural dialogue.

In 2004, Bucharest University (Romania) welcomed the second Congress of the Chairs and other partaking institutions, such as the "Institut Interdisciplinaire d'Ethique et des Droits de l'Homme/Chaire UNESCO", Fribourg University, as co-organizer. The title of the Congress was " Rights to intercultural education and information".
